Abdul Majid honoured

GUWAHATI, June 11: Two organizations - Purbottar Sanskritik Samvay Samiti and the Kamrup branch of Marwari Sammelan - honoured senior film actor and director Abdul Majid at a function in his residence at Panjabari in the city today as a mark of respect to his contribution to the world of art and culture. Samiti vice president Rajesh More and general secretary Kanta Agarwal and Sammelan secretary Manoj Jain and member Bimal Sarma presented the actor a Jaapi, a shawl, a phulam gamosa, a citation and a xorai. They wished him good health.
