ABSU annual conference begins in Udalguri

UDALGURI, Jan 5: The three–day Udalguri district committee ABSU 40th annual conference began in Udalguri town on Monday.  Jourlist Khiteswar Sarmah iugurated the Proloy Kumar Basumatary Memorial main gate while the Sailendra th Brahma Memorial main pandal was iugurated by Balendra Brahma, former ABSU leader. The Doleswar Boro Memorial stage was iugurated by ren Boro, the headmaster of Rabi Kachari Memorial High School, the martyr Bapu Ram Daimari Memorial volunteer camp was iugurated by Tarapati Upadhyaya, academician and writer, and Milson Daimari Memorial delegate camp was iugurated by Ra Baruah, the Revenue Circle Officer, Udalguri. Later the delegate meet was iugurated by Romeo P. rzary, ABSU general secretary and welcome address was delivered by ren Boro, the chairman of the reception committee. The souvenir Khobai will be released by bin Malla Boro, the Sahitya Akademi award winner on child literature and open discussion on ‘The challenges of students and common people to cope up with the present trend of the global world’ will be held on Tuesday. The discussion will be iugurated by Dr Luke Daimari, the Principal of Udalguri College, and chaired by Nerkhang Khakhlary, the president of Udalguri district committee ABSU.
