ABSU celebrates Bwisagu festival in Udalguri

UDALGURI, April 26: The Udalguri district committee ABSU celebrated Bwisagu festival at the Bishnu Rabha Krishti Sangha premise in Udalguri with a day-long programme.
The celebration began with the hoisting of ABSU flag by Rinjoy Boro, the president of Udalguri district committee ABSU, while the Bwisagu flag was hoisted by ren Boro, former general secretary of the erstwhile Darrang district committee ABSU. The Bwisagu field was iugurated by Dhiren Boro, the chairman of NDFB (P). The ABSU felicitated elderly and renowned persons of Udalguri during the celebration.
bin Malla Boro, the renowned Bodo writer, stressed the importance of the Bwisagu celebration among the Bodo people. Dhiren Boro, the chairman of NDFB (P) and Kameswar Boro, the president of Udalguri district committee of Bodo Thunlai Afat, also spoke on the importance of Bwisagu celebration and its cultural aspects. The programme was conducted by Dipen Boro, the vice-president of ABSU.
Bwisagu group dance presented on the occasion enthralled the audience. Prodeep Kumar Daimary, the former Deputy Chief of BAC and general secretary of UPP, Nelson Daimary, former Principal of Harisinga HS School, Dilip Boro and Rabindra Basumatary, the UPP candidates for Udalguri and Majbat also attended the celebration.
