ABSU felicitates ten meritorious students of Kokrajhar district

KOKRAJHAR, June 6: The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU), Kokrajahr district committee, felicitated the top 10 students in Bodo medium of Kokrajhar district who secured highest marks in the 2016 HSLC examition under Secondary Education Board of Assam.

The Deputy Commissioner of Kokrajhar, MP Sharma attended the function as the chief guest. He felicitated the top 10 students with traditiol aroi and gave away citation and other presentations. In his deliberation, he said passing HSLC examition was not the ultimate goal to achieve in life but the students must concentrate in their studies for better result in the Class XII examition which was important for choosing a career in life. Hailing the initiatives of the ABSU for quality education, he said a student should determine the stream in higher secondary course and asked students not to opt for subjects which they were not interested in. He also called upon the students to work hard with a competitive mindset to achieve success in life and also appealed to the guardians to look after their children.

The felicitation function, which was chaired by the president of the Kokrajhar district committee of ABSU, Premjit rzary, was also addressed by the vice-president of the ABSU, Romeo P. rzary, Director of UN Academy, Krish Gopal Basumatary and Principal of UN Academy, Ramfalbil Agendra Mashahary. The welcome address was given by the general secretary of Kokrajahr district ABSU, Nion Mashahary.

The top 10 students who were felicitated by the ABSU are Kari Basumatary, Karishma Brahma, Dhrupadi Basumatary, Pilton Swrang Brahma and Bhagyashree Brahma, all from Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma (GKB) Academy, Dotma, Mamata Brahma of UN Academy, Kokrajhar, Uttama Basumatary and Manu Borgoyary, both from Ramfalbil UN Academy, Prijay Basumatary of GKB Academy, Kazigaon, Sansuli rzary and Pulung Wary, both from UN Academy, Kokrajhar.
