Silchar, June 6: The admission in Higher Secondary 1st year and Three Year Degree Course 1st semester for the session 2018-19 has been made free by the government of Assam for students whose parents’ annual income is less than Rs.1 lakh. But the admissions in successive year or semester have not been made free for them. In this regard, Akhil Bharatiya Vidarthi Parishad, Silchar unit, North-East State, submitted a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister of Assam through the Deputy Commissioner of Cachar on Monday. In addition to this, poor students are charged a high amount of money by the owner of cyber café in case of online admission.
