ABVP observes 67th foundation day

HOWRAGHAT, July 10: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Karbi Anglong district unit celebrated its 67th foundation day at Joysing Doloi Auditorium, Diphu here on recently.

In a meeting held on the occasion, members of the ABVP from different places of the district participated. While attending the foundation day celebration, Kris Kinkar Mahanta, the State Joint Technical Cell of the ABVP, highlighted about the reason for formation of the ABVP under the initiative of the RSS activist Balraj Madhock in 1948.

He said that ABVP was the largest organization in India having around three lakh members. The organization has been carrying out activities like helping the poor students in the field of education, strengthening the youths and realizing their capabilities and vision. Meanwhile, Mahanta urged the ABVP members to extend their cooperation to strengthen the organization.

In his speech, Rupsing Teron, EM, KAAC, said that only through education everything could be attained. The meeting was chaired by Living Timung, president, ABVP, Karbi Anglong Unit. Dignitaries like Kakrai Teronpi, Principal, DIET, Diphu,Longbir Engti Kathar, faculty of the Art of Living, Karbi Anglong and former EM Senot Kro, adviser, ABVP, Karbi Anglong Unit were also present. The foundation day celebration was started by hoisting organizatiol flag and it was hoisted by ABVP, Karbi Anglong unit president, Living Timung.
