ABVP pays homage to martyrs of Sukma xal attack

SILCHAR, April 27: Members of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Silchar Unit, paid homage to the 25 martyrs who lost their lives in what has been regarded as one of the deadliest attack and ambush by the xalites in Chhatisgarh’s Sukma area on April 25. Members of the Parishad paid homage to these martyrs at Rangirkhari Point last night. The members of the Parishad included Apanghsu Shekhar Shil, northeast organizing secretary, Monoj Kanti Das, state secretary, Kaberi g, secretary, Silchar, and also a member of NEC organizing, Borli Goswami, Biswajit th, Sucharita Roy, Sanjit Pandey, Rahul Roy, Rupak Bhattacharjee and Debraj.

 The Maoists ambushed and killed 26 Central Reserve Police Force on Monday afternoon. This cold-blooded massacre was carried out by almost 300 Maoists. At the time of the attack, the CRPF team was doing a sanitization exercise for an under-construction road in that area. Another version in the media says that they came under heavy artillery fire when they were taking meals.  Sukma is a part of South Bastar which has been facing this mece over the last few decades.
