ABVP’s memorandum on introducing more shifts in Gurucharan College

Silchar, June 12: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has submitted a memorandum to Dr. Bibash Deb, principal, Gurucharan College, Silchar, regarding the introduction of more shifts in classes to adjust with the increasing number of students. ABVP’s initiative is praiseworthy since students have to face problems. Amitesh Chakraborty, ABVP, state organizatiol assistant secretary, on an advisory note, said, “Regarding the admission of new students to the various Degree courses, priority should be given to students who have passed Higher Secondary from this college. In order to accommodate the increasing number of students, morning and evening shifts should be introduced. Introduction of more shifts will eble more students to take admission in the college.
Among others who were present during the submission of the memorandum include Baishali Dutta Roy, Kuldeep Choudhury, Rajiv Biswas, Guddu th, Rupak Bhattacharjee, Prashant Sen, Rishab Purkayastha and Kanika Das. One of the oldest educatiol institutions of the town, the college has produced some of the eminent persolities. Established in the year 1935, Gurucharan College provides various 10+2, undergraduate, certificate courses, and post-graduate courses under the aegis of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council, Guwahati and Assam University, Silchar.
