ACA officials request CM Sonowal to revive cricket at Nehru stadium

GUWAHATI: Newly elected office bearers of the Assam Cricket Association, lead by its president Romen Dutta, today met Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowalin his official residence. During the meet Sonowal advised the officials to take cricket to the grass root level so that maximum youth of the State can involve with this game.

Newly elected secretary Devajit saikia, who was also the part of the team, requested Chief Minister to take steps so that cricket activities at the Nehru stadium can be revived. It has been learnt that ACA will submit a formal proposal in this regard to the Government very soon. Vice President Parikshit Dutta and former Ranji Cricketer Rajesh Bora accompanied Dutta and Saikia during this visit.
