ACA struggling against HP

GUWAHATI, Aug 4: Assam Cricket Association (ACA) are struggling to chase first innings total of Himachal Pradesh in the KT Memorial Cricket tourment in Bengaluru today. In reply to Himachal&rsquo;s first innings score 258, Assam finished the second day 129-6 in their first innings. Four batsmen of the team returned into the pavilion without opening their account.<br />

However it was completely different story when two openers Pallav Das and Rishav Das came out to start the first innings. The duo added 104 runs in the first wicket partnership. Pallav scored 39 runs with the help of four boundaries. Once the partnership was broken Assam lost next five wickets within a score of 25 runs. Hrishikesh Tamuly (0), Sanzow Brahma (0), Wasiqur Rahman (0) and Jitumoni Kalita (0) failed to open their account while Tarjinder Singh scored 12 runs before got out. Rishav, scored half century, remained not out on 58. <br />

Earlier Himachal Pradesh, started from their overnight score 213-8, bowled out 258 runs in their first innings. Swarupam Purkayastha and Pritam Das bagged three wickets each while Krish Das collected two wickets. Ankit Kaushik (110) scored century.&nbsp; </p>
