Accident, theft across Meghalaya

SHILLONG, April 1: On March 29 around 10.30 pm, a two-wheeler (AS-01DK-6174) rode by Ajay Basumatary skidded off the road at Ladsharai (RB). In the accident, one female pillion- rider sustained injuries and was shifted to a hospital at Shillong.

On the very same day around 1.25 pm, body of a person identified as David Lyngdoh Marshilong (36 yrs) was found floating at Wahumkhrah, Polo, Shillong.

On March 28, around 7.30 am unknown miscreant(s) stole a motorcycle (ML-05J-2405) from Nongmensong in Shillong.

In another incident, one Kermiki Dkhar lodged a complaint that on March 27 night, six persons, identified as Heymon Talang, Precious Dkhar, Ioanis Phawa, Sosanki Nongtdu, Rollan Suja, Swami Manner and others, stole batteries of Airtel mobile towers, generator, car CD players, etc., from the premises of his house at Khliehriat West (EJH). The accused persons also stole cell-phone, power banks, etc., belonging to his tents. On March 28, around 10.30 am, they also stole several iron blocks from the compound of his house. Total value of the stolen property is around Rs. 1, 50,000.
