ACKS condoles demise of Bhupen Borgohain

Doomdooma, April 11: Asam Chah Karmachari Sangha (ACKS), Doomdooma Branch, in its general body meet of the 60th biennial conference held at its permanent venue at Wood Road, Doomdooma, condoled the death of Bhupen Borgohain, who besides being one of the founders of United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), was an important office- bearer of ACKS.

Borgohain, who died on Tuesday, was a resident of Demow and an employee of Adhabari Tea Estate. On receiving news of his demise, a group of members of ACKS, Doomdooma Branch, rushed to his Demow residence and paid their last respects to him by covering his body with an ACKS flag. A condolence meeting was held on Wednesday with president of the branch, Bimal Baruah in the chair. Two-minute silence was observed for eterl peace of the departed soul.
