ACMS demands 20 per cent Puja bonus for tea labourers

BOKAKHAT, September 14: The Bokakhat branch of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) has demanded 20 per cent one-time bonus for tea-labourers 20 days before Durga Puja.

The resolution in this regard was adopted in a meeting of the ACMS which was presided over by Madan Tanti and attended by representatives of 22 tea gardens of the subdivision on Sunday.

In another resolution, ACMS demanded a Congress candidate from portfolio holders of ACMS to fight the 2016 assembly polls from Bokakhat constituency. The meeting, in a resolution, congratulated MP Paban Singh Ghatowar for being nomited as the chairperson of the Strategy Committee of Election-2016. Dharmeswar Kurmi, the newly-elected president of Bokakhat Block Congress Committee was also felicitated in the meeting.
