ACMS holds meetings in tea estates

DEMOW, Feb 7: The Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), Moran Branch conducted meetings in tea estates under the branch in order to form new primary committees of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha, Moran Branch.  After the formation of the new Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) alliance government, some people are allegedly trying to form Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangha to replace the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS) due to which ACMS, Moran Branch members are creating awareness among the tea garden labourers, said a source.  The primary committees of ACMS were formed in Tiloijan, Khumtai, Hingirijan, Rajmai, Moran, Sepon and Krish Bihari Tea Estates. Lakheswar Tanti, secretary of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), Moran Branch, tried to make the local tea garden labourers  aware in the executive meeting and urged the labourers to follow the aims and objectives of Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha.  Demonetizations, wage issues of the labourers and the issue of ration were the burning issues of the tea garden labourers, said Lakheswar Tanti. He also said that within few days in the tea garden areas awareness camps would be held against drug abuse.
