Act on venture educatiol institutions likely to be amended

DIBRUGARH, February 10: The Assam Venture Educatiol Institution (Provincialization of Service) Act (AVEIA) will be amended again.

The assurance was made by the Education Minister, Sarat Borkotoky, during a meeting with a team from All Assam Recognised ME Teacher’s Association (AARMETA) 05-06 at the former’s residence recently. The organization submitted a memorandum requesting that under the Act 2011 and amended Acts of 2012 and 2013 the jobs of the schools that have crossed seven years should be provincialized.

Interestingly, provincialization of the jobs of the majority of teachers and employees of schools was ensured under AVEIA 2011 but they have not yet received any salary.

The delegates of the executive body of the Association drew attention of the Minister to the situation. Following the discussion, he promised to complete the task within the current fincial year, stated a communiqué of AARMETA.
