Adhering To Sankardev And Madhabdev’s Teachings: Sarbananda Sonowal

GUWAHATI: “Spiritual development is important to be truly successful and young generation must be enabled to shape their spiritual personalities. Mahapurush Sankardev and Madhabdev’s teachings must be followed by everyone to achieve a happy and content life.” Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said while releasing the 2nd edition of English transliterated version of Namghosha of Mahapurush Madhabdev by Dr Purnananda Saikia at Gauhati Commerce College in the city on Thursday. The book is published by Research and Publication Cell of the college.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also called on Gauhati Commerce College to help the state government in formulating business policy and planning to capture the market of South East Asia and ASEAN taking advantage of Act East Policy implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi led central government. Following the ideals of both the Gurujonas, the young generation of the state must strive hard to achieve excellence in all fields through hard work while also keeping their moral values intact, he exhorted.

Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya, Vice Chancellors of Cotton College State University and Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University Dr Bhabesh Goswami and Dr Hitesh Deka, Principal of Gauhati Commerce College Dr Homeswar Kalita were also present on the occasion among others.
