Administration carries out eviction in Itanagar

ITANAGAR, June 24: Executing the order of Guwahati High Court, structures built on the government land by one Biman Natung was dismantled by the district administration. The land belongs to the tourism department of the government and was encroached upon. The court issued the order on June 21. In the meantime, Biman Natung in a FIR lodged in the police station has stated that according to the Public Premises Act-2003 a proper notice should been served and hearing should be made. It stated that, he did not receive any eviction notice from the Deputy Commissioner. He termed the eviction as illegal and sought immediate action against the DC and the EAC who supervided the operation under charges of illegal trespassing and dismantling of private structure.
