Adult Literacy programme to be held on Feb 27

SHILLONG, Feb 12: With an aim to educate those section of the society who don’t know how to read and write the Khasi Jaintia tiol Union (KJNU) will organize the Adult Literacy programe on February 27 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm. In a statement issued here today general secretary, B. Samayang said that the programmes aims to give some education to those who are illiterate and don’t know how to read and write especially in this modern days where even money transaction has become cashless.  “We have taken this initiative to organize this programme especially in those areas where most of the people are still uneducated and illiterate,” he said informing that this will be started from Saba village of WJHD and it will be free of cost.
