Adult python rescued

Itagar, April 22: An adult Python (Python molurus) was rescued from Karsingsa by seven persons on Thursday which was handed over to RFO Taje Sindu of Banderdewa Forest Range.

A team of staff from Itagar Biological Park (Zoo) brought the giant reptile from Banderdewa and rehabilitated it in the zoo, informed Curator of the Biological Park, Raya Flago.

The rescuers were Hillang Kai, Tadar Niting, Gyamar Taniya, Hillang Kato, Tame Niya and Tame Bose, all from Karsingsa village.

The Environment & Forest Department appreciated the rescuers for saving the reptile and requested them to continue in championing the cause of conserving the rich wildlife heritage. It also requested everyone to stop hunting and buying wildlife and their parts.
