Adya shraddha of Anjan Dutta held

GAURISAGAR, JULY 16: The adya shraddha of Anjan Dutta, former MLA of Amguri LAC and APCC president who passed away on June 16 at AIIMS, New Delhi was held at Gaurisagar Rajib Bhavan premises Saturday under the initiative of Gaurisagar and Amguri Block Congress committees.

On this occasion a memorial meeting was also held. In the meeting  Dr.Manjit Gogoi, Principal, Jhanji Hem th Sarmah College and Dulal Baruah, former Principal, Amguri College rrated briefly about the contribution of Dutta in the political and social fields. In the meeting Ajit Ranjan Gogoi, president, Sivasagar Zila Congress Committee, Brojen Kumar Hondique, general secretary, APCC and Angkita Dutta, daughter of Anjan Dutta were present.

Earlier that in the meeting a souvenir Bornil Yatra on Dutta, edited by Mrigka Saikia was unveiled by Dr Manjit Gogoi. The other programmes were smriti tarpan, am prasanga, kirtan path and diha am.
