AEC alumni meet today

GUWAHATI, April 1: The Assam Engineering College (AEC) Alumni Association, is organising it 13th annual general meeting on April 2 at 3:45 pm at the auditorium of AEC situated at Jalukbari. Secretarial report and audited accounts for the year 2014-15 will be presented by Dr Nripen Das, the secretary of the association, in the meeting to be presided over by its president, GN Khound, a press release said. Before the meeting, the 4th Prof SD Gogoi memorial lecture has been scheduled from 2 pm at the same venue. The association is organising this lecture in hallowed memory of Dr SD Gogoi, former principal of the college, since 2011 with the support of his family members. This year, the memorial lecture will be delivered by Dr Mohd Jawed, Professor of Environment Engineering of Civil Engineering Deptt of IIT Guwahati and the topic will be “21st century custodian of air and water – the common tural resources of planet earth”. The organisers request its members, former and present faculty members of the college, engineers, technocrats, academicians and students to attend the programme.
