GUWAHATI, April 10: Assam Football Association is all set to start Grass Root Development programme to improve the standard of the game in the state. The programme will be implemented in phase manner.
Disclosing the news to the media person Ankur Dutta, the secretary of the Assam Football Association, said, ’We have selected 21 soccer training centre in six different districts in the state where the programme will be launched in the first phase. The selected districts are Tinsukia, Dibrugarh, Sivasagar, Kamrup, Kokrajhar and Cachar."
Dutta also added, “ All India Football Federation will appoint a Grass Root Development Officer soon in the state and the entire programme will be implemented under the supervision of this official.”
