After bikinis, Goa minister also wants ked sages banned

Paji, April 7: A minister in Goa who had demanded a ban on bikinis, on Tuesday came down heavily on sages walking ked on public roads. He said it was a “very bad” thing to do and a practice not in sync with the times. Goa PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar’s comment comes days after former chief minister Digambar Kamat’s photos with a ked Jain sage of the Digambar sect during a function in Margao recently went viral on Facebook. “It is very bad. It should not happen. Those times were different. We are near 2021 now,” Dhavalikar said. The PWD minister is the brother of cabinet minister Deepak Dhavalikar, who along with his wife Lata, had maintained that women adopting Western culture were prone to rape. Sudin Dhavalikar had last year demanded a ban on bikinis in Goa, saying it was against Indian culture.  (IANS)
