After TMC, BJP poachers targeting Congress in Tripura!

From A Correspondent

Agartala, Feb 1 : After a successful foray in the Trimool Congress garden the poachers of

the Bharatiya Jata Party make an equally successful attempt in the house of Congress when the state president of the saffron party Biplab Deb made a ‘courtesy’ call in the house of the senior Congress MLA Ratan Lal th last evening. Though both the leaders refrained from making any statement about the meeting sources in the BJP said though it was a courtesy call they also discussed politics. When asked what politics they have discussed he only said you are free to gauss considering the political scerio of the state.

It may be recalled that the BJP president made similar ‘courtesy’ visit in the house of Trimool Congress MLA from Dharmagar Biswa Bandhu Sen three days back. There also both the leaders refused to disclose contents of the meeting but admitted that ensuring one to one contest with the Left Front in the next assembly election scheduled for early next year is their priority.

However, political observers feel that the back door parlays going on for last several months to bring all the opposition forces in one platform has reached into a stage and the main actors of the game is now gradually coming out in the open.

The BJP leaders are very much hopeful about the success of the attempt but the observers feel it is too early to reach into a conclusion. They are suspicious as there are still some forces in all the parties who are against any such grand alliance. Meanwhile, the ruling CPI(M) secretary Bijon Dhar showed a brave face and said they are not worried with the attempt of the opposition parties to come together. He said the people are with us and we are not afraid of united opposition by some discredited people.
