Itagar,  Aug 5: The All Aruchal Pradesh Trans Aruchal Highway Welfare Association (AAPTAHWA) has accused the executing agency of Trans Aruchal Highway (TAH) for not adhering to an agreement and asked it to compensate families affected by rampant earth-cutting and dumping of muck due to road construction.
AAPTAHWA President Papu Tayem told reporters at Aruchal Press Club here that work on TAH was neither being  carried according the Central Public Works Department norms nor according to the MoU signed.
“The agreement says there should have been a separate site to dump wastage but the agency is dumping the muck randomly, which is affecting the people’s land and paddy fields,” he said.
Tayem said the TAH project from Ba-Seppa-Pakke Kessang and Sagalee road has been damaged because of no proper cross-draige system, paved shoulders, pavement works, slope for formation cutting and proper quality control unit. The company, he added, is executing the work without adhering to highway specifications of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) and by deviating from the origil DPR.
