AGP candidate threatens AKRSU leaders

MANGALDAI, April 8: The Udalguri District Committee of All Koch Rajbongshi Students Union (AKRSU) has strongly condemned the alleged threatening to the life of the President of Kalaigaon Unit of AKRSU by two supporters of AGP candidate Mukunda Ram Choudhury over phone. President of Udalguri District Committee of AKRSU, Dibya Jyoti Deka alleged that Karu Bora and Madhab Deka both supporters of the AGP candidate on the evening of April 6 has made a telephonic call to president of Kalaigaon Anchalik Committee, Mukunda Deka and threatened him on his life as the AKRSU did not extend support to the AGP. Meanwhile Deka has lodged an FIR at Kalaigaon Police station. The Udalguri District Committee of AKRSU strongly criticized the role of the AGP candidate in the incident and appealed the voters belonging to the Koch Rajbongshi community not to cast their vote for the AGP candidate. He also condemned the reported insult committed by the AGP candidate on Koch Rajbongshi women for wearing their traditiol ‘Patani’ while the group of women went to his home to meet him few days back.
