AGP leader slams Union Budget, urges regiol leaders to unite

From a Correspondent

MARGHERITA, March 1: Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) senior leader of Margherita, Dr Om Prakash Sahu has criticized the Union Budget of 2016 - 2017 which Union Fince Minister Arun Jaitley presented on Monday.

Dr Sahu said both the earlier UPA government and present NDA government had presented budget where only industrialists, corporate houses and brokers who hanker after UPA and NDA are only benefitted while the general public, farmers and workers have to suffer.  “Prime Minister rendra Modi before the Lok Sabha polls said that within 100 days after the formation of BJP government black money deposited in foreign banks would be brought back and all the people of the country would get Rs 15 lakh in their bank accounts. Two years have passed but still no black money has been brought back,” said Dr Sahu.

He added, “In Assam many regiol party leaders are now running door-to-door of tiol parties so that in the forthcoming assembly election these vested interest leaders can get the opportunity to form a coalition government with them. But actually they are insulting the 855 martyrs who sacrificed their lives during the Assam Agitation, the 13,000 ULFA cadres and 23 brave jourlists who sacrificed their lives for the sake of Assam.”

“Regiolism will be better for Assam and the greater Assamese society as tiol parties are only betraying our people and exploiting our tural resources. I appeal to all regiol leaders of Assam to come forward and defeat all the tiol parties,” said the veteran AGP leader.
