AGP staged Torch March Protest in Naharkatia over Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016

Naharkatia: Alike other people and organisations in the state and Northeastern regions, massive torch march rally was staged by the people of the various villagers under the aegis of Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) at Barbam area under Naharkatia Police Station on Friday evening.

The protesters then blocked the Naharkatia-Moran linking road near Desam Tea Estate for half an hour.

It is to be noted that the protesters chanting various slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal threatened for the consequences of the bill.
