Ahom, Bengali organizations hail BJP alliance

DIBRUGARH, May 20: Several organizations including the District Committees of Ahom Royal Society (ARS), Assam Khilonjia Ga Mancha and Ahom Royal Young Federation (ARPF), All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation (AABYSF), have extended their heartiest congratulations to the newly elected candidates of Bharatiya Jata Party (BJP) in Assam, including chief ministerial candidate of the party Sarbanda Sonowal.
The central committee president Deepak Dey and secretary Nirmal Kanti Seal of AABYSF while welcoming Sarbanda Sonowal, expressed hope that the new government would work for the development of the people by promoting peace and harmony among one and all.
All the organizations have stated that by winning maximum seats, the saffron party and its allies have indeed created history. Pinning their hopes on BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Sarbanda Sonowal, they said that the new government would work for the overall well-being and development of the State and would create a healthy political environment.
The decade old aspirations of the indigenous people of the State would soon be permanently resolved under Sonowal’s able leadership, they said.
Adding further, the secretary general of ARS, Uttam Kumar Borua; general secretary of AKGM, Tapan Sarmah Borua and secretary of ARYF, Khagen Gogoi while calling upon BJP party and its alliance partners to work sincerely towards solving the problems faced by the indigenous people said that the party would take immediate and effective steps for solving the long ignored issues of scheduling of six communities, flood and erosion and unemployment at the earliest.
