Aid for Nepal earthquake victims

KOKRAJHAR, May7: The Sector Head Quarter of the SSB, Tezpur has sent relief materials generously doted by the people for the Nepal earthquake victims as a goodwill gesture. This was informed by the Assistant Publicity Officer of the SSB, Sector Head Quarter M. Pumpkhan Khup.

Khup said to aid the homeless and bereaved survivors, the Sector Head Quarters of the SSB, Tezpur and its field units organized a collection drive to raise funds and relief materials for the earthquake ravaged victims of Nepal from the general public, business houses and non-government organizations. The SSB has received rice, chira/chiwda, clothes, sugar, flour, biscuits, shoes, salt, pulses, jaggery, blankets, mineral water bottles, soaps and other materials.

To dispatch the collected relief materials a simple function was held on THursday at Sector Headquarter, SSB, Tezpur in which JD Vashist, Area Organizer, SHQ, SSB, Tezpur graced the function. He appealed to local people and NGOs to dote generously for the cause of the earthquake victims and said that any dotion could be made through sector headquarter, Agnigard Road, SSB, Tezpur. After the function, two trucks with the relief materials left Tezpur for Nepal through Ranidanga, Siliguri, and West Bengal.
