Air-conditioned ambulance doted

Silchar, April 1: Nibedita Roy, wife of Pradip Kumar Roy of Maa Andomoyee Fashions, Silchar, has doted a high tech air conditioned ambulance to Shiv Sundari risikshashram and Ante tal Clinic, Silchar on Friday evening in the fond memory of her father-in-law late Shrischandra Roy and mother-in-law late Harimoti Roy. She gave the keys of the ambulance at a small function held at the premises of the hospital to the renowned child specialist Dr Chandra Shekhar Das who is also a member of the hospital committee. Dr Chandra Shehkar Das said, “How great it feels when our homemakers take such steps to dote something so special and precious.”

“Nibedita Roy also constructed Maa Durga temple located at Tarapur, Silchar. The contributions of late Shrischandra Roy and Maa Andomoyee Fashions can never be forgotten. They are doing exemplary work,” Dr Das added. Former Union Minister Kabindra Purkayastha recalled how late Shrischandra Roy used to contribute and dote to the society. Pradip Kumar Roy said, “I respect and congratulate Nibedita for this. She did it all from her savings.” Among others present included state BJP spokesperson and renowned orthopaedic Dr Rajdeep Roy and his mother Bi Roy, who is also the wife of the legendary late Bimalangshu Roy. Anghsu Kumar Roy was given the documents of the ambulance.
