Air Force Accounts Officers' conference held

SHILLONG, May 21: A three-day conference of Senior Accounts Officers (SAOs) of all airbases under Eastern Air Command concluded at HQ EAC on Saturday. The high-level fincial planning conference was chaired by Air Marshal C Hari Kumar, AOC-in-C, EAC, a press release said. Principal Integrated Fincial Advisor (Air Force), Rasika Choube, addressed the conference on the last day.
She explained in detail the future of all central government fincial implications including transparency in all expenditure by e-procurement, e-tendering and e-payment besides other changes in procedures.
Integrated Fincial Advisor (EAC) and IFAs from various airbases were also present to ensure smooth and timely flow of funds to meet the needs of infrastructural development and security in the region.
Air Vice Marshal SM Subhani, Assistant Chief of Air Staff Fincial Planning also addressed the conference. He explained and clarified various issues relating to fincial planning in the Indian Air Force. Air Vice Marshal Mavendra Singh, Senior Officer-in-Charge Administration, HQ EAC, mentioned that EAC IAF is giving priority to ongoing modernization of airfields, Advance Landing Grounds (ALGs) and other associated infrastructure, nearly Rs. 8,000 Crore worth of work services are underway in EAC AoR (Area of Responsibility.
