Air Marshal RD Mathur visited Air Force Station in Tezpur, briefed on Operational Readiness

Guwahati: Air Marshal RD Mathur AVSM VSM, Air Officer Commanding- in- Chief, Eastern Air Command visited Air Force Station in Tezpur on April 23, 2019. Air Marshal was received by Air Commodore Tejpal Singh VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station Tezpur.

As per a press communiqué, Air Marshal visited various units in the station and was briefed on their operational readiness. He interacted with all the personnel of the station and appreciated their performance and advised them to be physically fit and mentally alert at all times.

On arrival, he met all the key appointments of the station. The Air Marshal is a three-star officer with more than 5000 hours of fighter flying to his credit. He was presented with a Guard of Honour in true military spirit.

Before his departure for Shillong, the Air Marshal had expressed his satisfaction with the operational readiness of the base. He appreciated the performance of the air warriors towards the maintenance and utilization of assets and other infrastructure.

The Air Marshal was accompanied by Shipra Mathur, President AFWWA(R) who was received by Seema Singh, President AFWWA (L).

Earlier, on April 22, Air Marshal RD Mathur visited the Air Force Station in Chabua and inspected various units and key locations at the station to assess their operational readiness.

He was also briefed on the ongoing and future modern infrastructure development projects for improving the combat potential of the base. The Air Marshal addressed and interacted with the Station personnel and directed them to maintain high standards of safety, operational preparedness and security awareness. He appreciated the high degree of operational readiness, station facilities and morale of the personnel deployed at the base.
