'AIUDF will form Garo Autonomous Council if comes to power'

Boko, February 19: Derajuddin Ahmed, general secretary, AIUDF, visited Santipur area where he declared if the AIUDF won in the forthcoming assembly polls, the party would improve education facilities in Chaygaon LAC. The Garo people living in Kamrup district have been seeking better education facilities but their MLA and Parliamentary Secretary for Education, Rekibuddin Ahmed, allegedly has not taken any steps in this regard. Derajuddin Ahmed told the Garo people that if the AIUDF won in the polls, the party would raise the issue of formation of Garo Autonomous Council in the assembly.
