Aizwal FC finish 2nd Division League with a win

GUWAHATI, May 9: Aizwal FC finished the I League 2nd division with a win against Mohammedan Sporting at Golaghat today. Mizoram outfit won the game by 4-2. The match was just a formality for Aizwal FC as the side already qualified into the next edition of the I league by winning this year's 2nd division league title before this game. But still the side came out with a positive note and played quality football on way to beat Mohammedan Sporting. In the other matches, held at the adjoining areas,  Chanmari FC shared point with Lonestar Kashmir as the game today ended as 1-1 draw.

The match between United SC and Hindustan FC also ended as a draw. Both the side scored two goals each in the game. League champion Aizwal Fc finished the tourment with 34 points from 14 games. Lonestar Kashmir stayed on the second spot with 27 points from same number of matches. Mohammedan Sporting got the third position collecting 26 points from 14 games.
