Ajeevika and Kaushal Vikas Mela observed

Tezpur, May 6: Assam State Rural Livelihood Mission, in collaboration with Block Mission Management unit, Bihaguri celebrated the Gram Swaraj Abhiyans Ajeevika and Kaushal Vikas Mela at Karmabeer Chandra Sharma Smriti Bhavan, Pithakhuwa, Bihaguri in Sonitpur district on Saturday.

 Ganesh Kumar Limbu, MLA, Borsola LAC, while delivering his inaugural speech in presence of Nilima Gogoi, BDO, Bihaguri Block, Ajoy Kerketta, Block Project Manager, ASRLM, and other dignitaries, said that the scheme was aimed at bringing social harmony, women empowerment and development of the villagers by improving their livelihood. Limbu further added that the government was spending a large amount of money for the uplift of women by providing financial assistance to all Self-Help Groups (SHG).
