GOLAGHAT, July 9: The Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) Golaghat Town committee submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of Golaghat on Monday demanding action for resolving various burning problems faced by the people of Golaghat town. A delegation of the organization, under leadership of the president and secretary Indrajit Baruah and Nilotpal Saikia, submitted a memorandum to the Golaghat DC and expressed sharp reaction over failure of the authority concerned to solve burning problems under the Golaghat municipality jurisdiction. They demanded that the drains be cleaned and the footpaths cleared for pedestrians. They also demanded speed breakers near schools, colleges and religious institutions in order to prevent road accidents. They warned that unless the problems were solved in due time, they would launch massive stir against the municipality board with the help of local people.
