AJYCP distributes free books among meritorious students

DEMOW, June 23: Under the patroge of Asom Jatiyabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Demow Town Committee,  a general meeting was organized where free books were distributed by the  AJYCP activists Demow Town Committee among two students of Demow from fincially weak families who have performed well in the HSLC exam, 2016.  

The meeting was presided over by Chintu Konwar, president of AJYCP Demow Town Committee. Biswajit Shyam, joint secretary of Sivasagar District Committee was present in the programme as chief guest. Aditya Raidehingia, sudent of Barua Changmai Tea Tribes School and a resident of Barua Changmai Gaon, who got first division and scored 88 per cent in the HSLC exam 2016, was given science textbooks.

On the other hand, Purabi Kalita, a student of Demow High Girls’ School and a resident of Rupapur Gaon of Otala area who also got first division and scored 63 per cent and got letter marks in Assamese in the HSLC examition 2016, was given arts stream books.

 In the meeting it was decided that AJYCP Demow Town Committee would distribute books among 10 fincially poor meritorious students who will perform well in the HSLC and HS examition, Demow Book Fair will be organized by the Demow Regiol Committee and a book bank will be iugurated for the students soon. Krish Hazarika, president, Dipankar Gogoi, joint secretary of AJYCP Demow Regiol Committee were present in the meeting.
