AJYCP stages demonstration at Demow

DEMOW, April 5: The activists of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Sivasagar District Committee, staged a two-hour demonstration at Demow ASTC bus stand on Tuesday afternoon. The demonstration was led by Biswajit Shyam, acting general secretary of AJYCP, Sivasagar District Committee. The protest was held to demand full autonomy to Assam, implementation of dual citizenship and issuance of Inner Line Permit.

Since the last 38 years, AJYCP has been continuously raising these demands but the Central and State governments have not taken any steps till date, alleged AJYCP leaders.  In the demonstration, Krish Hazarika, president, Utpal Dowerah, general secretary of Demow Regiol Committee of AJYCP, along with other activists were present.
