AJYCP to stage protest against 'non-fulfilment' of demands

Dibrugarh, February 19: Under the initiative of the central committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba -Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) and with the support of Dibrugarh, Sibsagar, Charaideo and Tinsukia district committees, a mass meeting will be organized at Chowkidinghee playground  on March 1 for forming a strong public opinion regarding the non-fulfilment of the organization’s decade-old demand and the Central Government’s ‘indifference’ towards  execution and realization of  the same.

For long AJYCP had been endeavouring to protect the basic rights of the State’s people by  exhibiting protests, regarding the revocation of the recent notification that was issued by the Central Government granting Indian citizenship to migrant Hindu Bangladeshis who have entered Assam before December 31, 2014, for protecting the traditiol privileges and distinctiveness of the tive people along with other issues like grant of full sovereignty , dual citizenship, and issuing of Inner Line Permit.

As such, the general secretary of AJYCP, Homen Borgohain, on behalf of the district committee, has called upon all the members of the district committee, organizations and people of all communities, irrespective of the caste, community or religion, including media persons, to be a part of the gathering  by extending  their help and support.
