AJYP demands solution to problems of Golaghat town

GOLAGHAT, April 7: The activists of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJYP) of Golaghat town staged a two-hour sit-in near the Deputy Commissioner’s office on Saturday demanding resolution of various problems faced by the people of Golaghat town. 
The activists raised various slogans against the Golaghat administration for alleged ignorance to solve the problems.  In a press statement, the president and secretary of the organization, Mintu Gogoi and Abhijit Das respectively, said that people of Golaghat town had been facing a lot of problems like traffic srls, pure drinking water shortage, artificial flood and encroachment of footpaths. They demanded removal of latrine and uril block at Jamu Park, checking the traffic problem created by e-rickshaws and taking measures to prevent artificial flood in various places of the town before the rainy season.
 They submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner to resolve the problems soon.
