Actors Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan‘s 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa is probably going to induce a sequel, reports suggest, well it is good news to all the Bhool Bhulaiyaa fans. Whereas Priyadarshan directed the original, the new film will be written and directed by Farhad Samji.

As per the media, the report quoted a source as saying, “Bhushan wanted to make a part two of the film Bhool Bhulaiyaa for a short while now and has cracked a concept with Farhad Samji, who will be writing and leading the film. It's within the development stage and can feature a fresh cast. Once the ultimate script is fastened, the team will start off casting and other pre-production formalities.”

It was just a few days ago that reports of T Series registering the title Bhool Bhulaiyaa two surfaced. The original film was an official remake of the Tamil hit Chandramukhi leading Rajinikanth. Chandramukhi, itself was a remake of 1993 Malayalam film, Manichitrathazhu leading Mohanlal and Shobana.

The film revolves around a US-based couple Siddharth Chaturvedi played by Shiney Ahuja and Avni played by Vidya Balan, who is on a holiday in India. The new weds are warmly welcomed; however, when Siddharth insists on staying on in his ancestral mansion, it upsets his relatives, particularly his uncle Badrinarayan Chaturvedi (Manoj Joshi), who brazenly voices his disapproval. Despite warnings regarding the mansion being haunted, he shifts there. Soon, strange things begin to happen and he's forced to call his psychiatrist friend Aditya which is the role played by Akshay Kumar for help. The film conjointly featured Amisha Patel, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav.

Director Farhad is presently working on his Akshay’s Housefull 4. His writing credits embrace the upcoming Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan starrer coolie No 1, a remake of the David Dhawan, Govinda hit of the ’90s.

Akshay Kumar will be next seen in hs upcoming film Good News, which will be a comedy regarding two couples, trying to have babies. Diljit and Kiara play a young Punjabi couple in the film. After films, Ajnabee, Aitraaz, Dosti: Friends Forever among others, and Kambakkht Ishq Kareena and Akshay will be seen onscreen along after a long time. Kareena came back from pregnancy to deliver her first hit, Veere Di Wedding, a multi-starrer in 2018 which additionally featured Sonam Kapoor in a very distinguished role.
