AKSU organizes semir for uplift of Kurukh community

DIMAKUCHI, Feb 2: For the uplift of the Kurukh community, a three-day long first ever semir will be organized at St. Mary’s Church playground, Sikaribungalow in Udalguri district from February 3 to February 5. The semir aims at the promotion, preservation and propagation of Kurukh (Oraon) language, literature and cultural identity. The semir has been organized by All Kurukh (Oran) Students’ Union (AKSU). The semir will be followed by a colourful cultural function and exhibition where noted artistes from neighbouring areas and outside will take part.
