All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) conducts Awareness meet on NRC at Panery Tea Estate

TANGLA: In a bid to allay the fears and apprehension of the people post final draft publication of NRC, the Panery unit of All Adivasi Students’ Association of Assam (AASAA) organized an awareness meet at Panery TE in Udalguri recently. The representatives of the student body apprised the people that genuine citizens of the country irrespective of colour, caste, creed, community and religion would be included in NRC.

They also assured of all logistic support and co-operation for those whose names did not figure in the final draft NRC. The student body member exhorted the people to co-operate with the administration in maintaining law and order and appealed to the district administration to keep strict vigil on the nefarious attempts anti-social elements, if any.
