The decision to this effect was taken by the apex students’ body during its central executive meeting held under the chairmanship of general secretary Tobom Dai at its office premises at NEFA Club Building here on Sunday.

The meeting also had discussion at length regarding the Inner Line Permit (ILP) enforced in the state and probable illegal infiltration into the state amid ongoing NRC (National Register of Citizens) updatation process in neighbouring Assam. The AAPSU also decided to visit Bomdila to gather first-hand information on the ‘burning’ Tibetan refugee issue within this month. The union said it will organize meeting with all the stakeholders and discuss the issue for an immediate tangible solution.

In regards to education sector, the AAPSU discussed on monitoring the supply of textbooks to different districts and to ensure that adequate amount of books reaches every school in the state.

All the teaching faculties engaged in different non-teaching activities should be relieved of other government survey works so that they can concentrate in their classroom teaching to impart quality education to the children, the union opined.
