All Assam Marathon Competition held at Boko

Boko, April 17: All Assam Marathon race competition held early in the morning on Monday on the occasion of golden jubilee celebration of Boko Anchalic Rongali Bihu, which started from Uparhali to Boko, 35kms of total distance. Total 26 players from Kamrup, Goalpara, Barpeta, Jorhat and Dibrugarh districts took part in the competition. The race was flagged of by Sumit Rabha, Executive member of Rabha Hasong Autonomous Council.

Bijay Deka from Jorhat district won the first prizewith Rs 20,000 while Nurul Islam from Sontoli in Kamrup district and Habibur Rahman from Sontoli  grabbed the second and third spots respectively. The second and third position holders received Rs 15,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. The committee also felicitated all the players on the occasion.
