All Kamle District Students’ Union seeks inclusion of Kamle under Ziro additional district & sessions

Itanagar: The All Kamle District Students’ Union (AKDSU) has requested the chief secretary to include newly created Kamle district under the territorial jurisdiction of the newly sanctioned additional district & sessions (ADS) court at Ziro, the headquarters of Lower Subansiri district. In a representation to the chief secretary, the union nday said the newly created Kamle district has been left out of the territorial jurisdiction of the Ziro ADS court, which otherwise includes Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi and Lower Subansiri districts.

“Kamle district was bifurcated from Lower Subansiri district in 2017 and many of the legal issues are so far dealt with at the court of the chief judicial magistrate-cum-civil judge (senior division), Ziro, Lower Subansiri district. Whereas the recent notification, has in fact created confusion as to which court shall have the territorial jurisdiction to hear and adjudicate all those related sessions disputes and cases of Kamle district,” the union added in the representation.
