All Koch Rajbanshi Students’ Union, AJYCP, KMSS leaders Arrested by Assam Police

Bongaigaon: On Tuesday morning, leaders of several organizations, including All Koch Rajbanshi Students’ Union, AJYCP and KMSS were arrested by Bongaigaon Police for forcing people to make the bandh successful and violating Section 144 CrPC imposed in the district.

Gokul Barman, general secretary of AKRSU, said that they would continue their democratic agitation for the people of Assam. “Citizenship Amendment Bill is a sensitive issue against which the band was called and we supported this bandh. We will fight till the last drop of blood remains in our body,” he said. The bandh was successful in Bongaigaon. No unwanted situation occurred in Bongaigaon during the bandh hours.
