Allegations against Sahara

KALAIGAON, April 10: Several people of Udalguri district have alleged that the fincial institution Sahara Credit Cooperative Limited have been cheating the poor people of the area. Some of the customers told media persons that maturity money was not being disbursed by the officials of Sahara in Udalguri. They also urged that Deputy Commissioner of Udalguri should come forward and ensure that poor people do not fall prey to such frauds. At a time when all the non- government moneylenders and fincial institutions have been closed down, the Udalguri administration should take necessary step to shut down the Sahara Credit Cooperative Limited in Udalguri, they said.
