Amar Banani celebrates Gos Bihu

Gohpur, April 18:  Like the previous years, environment preservation organization Amar Banani, in collaboration with the villagers of Dubia, celebrated Gos Bihu at Dubia Gos Bihu Bakori on Wednesday. Forest Man of India, Jadav Payeng, noted actor Arun Hazarika, Minu Bonia, Enu Baruah and many dignitaries took part in the programme. Every year, this festival begins at Dubia Gos Bihu Bakori on the fourth day of the Assamese New Year Bohag and continues till World Environment Day. Gos Bihu is performed under trees and is a unique initiative to create awareness regarding tree plantation. Gos Bihu celebration will conclude in Guwahati on June 5.
